Buffalo Business First has named AlignRx and Penstock as finalists for its 2024 Best Places to Work awards. AlignRx is in the category for companies with 10-24 employees, and Penstock is in the 25-49 employees category. Results are based on an employee engagement survey that measures six key categories — communication, employee needs, manager effectiveness, personal engagement, team dynamic and trust in leadership.
Winners are chosen 100% based on the results of the survey, meaning only employees determine the score. Out of a total score of 100, based on responses in those six categories, Penstock tallied 95.69 and AlignRx came in at 95.17.
The survey included several open-ended questions that were optional for employees. One anonymous AlignRx employee wrote:
The AlignRx culture fosters professional growth, personal growth, collaboration, and success. The work we do brings value to our clients, and to their employees. The AlignRx team works hard, and we have fun. I’ve worked at AlignRx since its inception and love to experience the growth and success we’ve had. But the main thing is our leadership cares about each and every employee. I love working for AlignRx.
When asked which word best describes the work environment, the No. 1 answer given by employees of both AlignRx and Penstock was “collaborative.” And when it comes to feeling valued, which is the top driver of employee engagement, AlignRx scored 100 out of 100 and Penstock registered a 96. Here’s an anonymous response from a Penstock employee:
I’m so proud of all that my coworkers have achieved and love how our leadership communicates freely and is open to new ideas. I also truly appreciate the benefits we are given here. The flexibility here is amazing as well. We all work hard to meet our goals but there’s time for fun together and there’s also flexibility to be able to care for ourselves and our families. Truly a great place to work.
